This Week's Discoveries

Pulp {a sale of works on paper} at The Rectory

Saturday next week (17/3)  few of our makers are participating at the exhibition and art sale Pulp, at The Rectory. The exhibition features international and London-based artist, and will give you the chance to buy their original work, thereby supporting their continued practice. Drawing and prints will be on sale for £10, £20 & £50. Yay!

Henry Moore Institute

A couple of people from the studio has just been to Leeds to check out some lovely sculptures at the Henry Moore Institute, strongly recommended! Don't forget to stop by Laynes Espresso for a lovely coffee whilst you're in the area.

Blackhorse Workshop

We've just discovered Blackhorse Workshop, a new public space dedicated to making and mending. You can build your own furniture, fix your bike or do theatrical sets. Based in Walthamstow just outside of London, they offer open access to a fully equipped wood and metal workshop, with support machinery support from their technicians. They also run events and courses, from basic DIY skills to the art of welding. This discovery made us very tempted to start making our own furniture!

The Modern Cook's Year

We've had the luck to try some recipes from Anna Jones's latest cook book, The Modern Cook's Year - pure joy. Super delicious as always, meat free and this time she is also guiding you through the year, on how to make the most of seasonal produce, using simple flavours and ingredients.
