Now it is compulsory to wear face coverings in UK shops and on public transport, we decided to put together a list of our favourite masks by some great independent designers so you can support a small business with your mask purchase!
Below we've listed a few faves that we've found and a few from recommendations from you on Instagram! As many of these are small and individual designers, stock may be limited.
So Just Shop works with and in support of women in poverty. With a focus on providing living wages, high level working conditions, training and personal support, all of their products are handcrafted by women in marginalized communities with 80% of profits going back into these communities.

If you’re looking for a mask that will stand out, Aloha Glamour used beautiful African and Hawaiian inspired prints that are bold and colourful. These are great to jazz up your outfit for popping to the shops.

L.O.M are making masks fit for a party in both adult and kids sizes! These are made with cotton and elastic and are completely washable and reusable. They are also donating £1 from each sale, with July’s proceeds going to Kaleidoscope Trust, a charity supporting LGBTQ+ activists globally.

Interior design brand Leila Vibert Stokes use sustainable materials and processes to make gorgeous products inspired by nature, and their face coverings are no exception. Combining silk and organic cotton, they are breathable, adjustable and super stylish!

With a focus on slow fashion and making things that will last, By Megan Crosby uses dead stock, naturally dyed fabrics to make wonderfully whimsical clothing. Her face masks are just as cute, but are selling out fast. keep an eye out for her restock!

Florence Bridge is a designer based in London working with UK sourced materials and production to create digitally printed womenswear. Her gingham face coverings caught our eye, but they have other plain and pattern styles too.

Young designer Tia is making waves in couture design, and her face masks are just as magnificent. If you're looking for a mask that is going to take centre stage of your outfit, these are great!
Cloud Hunter is an independent brand based in LA and run by Megan Pearl. They specialise in ethically and sustainably sourced materials, selling clothing, lifestyle and jewellery. These Face Coverings are made with 100% silk and have adjustable ties for ease and comfort.

Another California based brand, Whimsy & Row are committed to making eco-conscious clothing. They have a few different styles of masks with some lovely neutral patterns. They are all washable and reusable and many are made from up-cycled cotton.

These masks by Anywear are in collaboration with supermodel Halima Aden, who designed a collection that come with matching scarves, designed for wearers of the Hijab. With these matching sets, you can keep your hair and face covered!
