5 Ways To Wear: Abstract Charm Hoops

Since their release, our Charm Hoops have been some of our bestsellers, and what we love most about these earrings is that they are completely customisable; charms can be worn individually or layered up in any combination.

We’ve given the hoops an little update in time for the festive season, using gorgeous new blue and olive mother of pearl, as well as marble acrylic, painted wood and mirror brass charms. Below, we outline a few ways in which you can wear the six interchangeable charms.

To alter your hoops, simply open the hoops and slide the charms off and on in any combination that you fancy.

1. Keep it simple & monochrome

The Abstract Charm Hoops are made up of a range of mixed materials, textures and shapes which we love, but sometimes, you want something more toned down and sleek which is totally achievable. We love taking the colour out altogether and focussing on the beautiful brass pieces. They have gorgeous golden tones that are great with layering with any other studs you might have in and matching with a few chains too.

Keep it simple with the brass hoop, mirror brass rectangle and the neutral cream coloured wooden charm. This colour palette goes with just about everything and is easy to style with lots of different outfits. Even though this is a more simple look, the three different shapes keep the earrings interesting.

2. Make a statement with all six charms (Olive/White)

We obviously love our new Abstract Charm Hoops in using all their charms, and the combination of pink and green is one of our favourites! The matching gold tones of the mirror brass and olive mother of pearl give these a luxurious look, and is a colour scheme that works well all year round.

If you’re wearing all six charms, you can of course wear them how we recommend (see the card that accompanies your jewellery), or change the combinations and order to suit you. These are surprisingly lightweight, so wearing all six charms make a playful and effortless statement piece to wear for more special occasions.

3. Catch the lilac colour trend

For a cooler colour scheme, we’ve paired our lilac and blue mother pearl charms together to create a new combination. Lilac has been everywhere in 2020 and we've been using a lot of it in our latest designs (our Iris Earrings and pearly Grace Hoops being only a few new purple pieces).

Here, the blue mother of pearl charm is big enough to show off it's gorgeously distinctive surface pattern, and paired here with the lilac, shows off its purpley tones in the light. Gorgeous!

4. Have a subtle pink moment

We love isolating the colours in the charm hoops, Our new Olive/White colourway comes with dainty wooden charms in two subtle pink shades which we think deserve some of the limelight too.

On their own, these hand painted wooden charms are super delicate. We love wearing these with an up-do, or a shorter haircut to really show them off!

5. Go big with all six charms (Blue/Emerald)

Since we introduced the blue mother of pearl to our designs, it has become one of our favourite materials.

The distinctive surface pattern means that each piece is completely unique, and has tones that are more blue or more purple, dependent on the light. We love this combination alongside the lilac wood and new emerald acrylic that has a subtle marble texture.
