Three years of Wolf & Moon x Barbican Centre

We're so proud to say that we have been collaborating with the Barbican Centre for three years! One of London's best loved buildings, the Barbican Centre was rebuilt and opened by in 1987. With the Queen herself calling it 'one of the modern wonders of the world', the building is still an inspiration to many and a tourist destination for the masses.

The arts centre is a melting pot of London culture, and offers art & design exhibitions, theatre, music and dance. The jewellery collections we have produced with them have been inspired by both the fantastic modernist architecture and its blockbuster exhibitions.

The Elements Collection

For this collection, we designed a range of jewellery using brass, wood and textured acrylic to emulate the modernist design features of the Barbican Centre itself.

The pieces can still be spotted in the Barbican Centre shop, or you can shop the full collection on our website here.

Modern Couples Collection

These pieces accompanied the Barbican Centre's 2018 exhibition Modern Couples, and are inspired by the work Aino & Alvar Aalto, referencing the shape and materials made famous in their iconic designs.

Into the Night

Our most recent collection for the Barbican is inspired by the elegant aesthetic of the Belle Époque era of Paris as depicted in the Into the Night exhibition. The exhibition explores the history of cabarets, cafés and clubs in modern art across the world, including London, from the 1880s up to the 1960s.

Visit the Into the Night exhibition which runs until 19th January 2020, and remember to pop into the Barbican Centre Shop to see some of our pieces!
