Little Duck

Kimchi's, krauts and pickles. We wrote about Little Duck, the Picklery a while back in our weekly discoveries, getting excited about the fermenting kitchen and eatery getting ready to open its doors. It's finally up and running! We've popped by a couple of times getting our hands on some delicious pickles - now we're eyeing up their fermenting and pickling workshop... 

Antenne Books

One of the greatest things with being based at Hackney Downs Studios is all the lovely people and neighbours we're surrounded by - Antenne Books is one of them. Gathering the most amazing books from independent publishers, Antenne books distributes publications on art, photography, design, illustration, theory, writing, fashion and culture. We are currently having our eyes on the LA Flower Market and lemon, egg, bread

We're loving Marrakesh based LRNCE, a  lifestyle brand focusing on interior decoration and accessories. Sourcing its production in North Africa, LRNCE captures the essence of craftsmanship and stays close to the creating process of its carefully handmade products. We want it all. 

 

Flora Yukhnovich

Painter Flora Yukhnovich is using the language of the Rococo to examine the notion of femininity, exploring its aesthetic expressions throughout Art History and in contemporary culture. She explores the representation of the female form and the male gaze as well as the associations of the superficial, decorative and domestic present in the Rococo.
