10 Strawberry Themed Items to Get You Wimbledon Ready

Wimbledon started this week, and aside from watching some great tennis, we're most excited about the tournament coinciding with strawberry season.

Whether you like to snack on a punnet, add some to your Pimms or go for a good old fashioned jam scone, this fruit is taking centre court in our minds.

Alongside some of our own bestselling pieces, we've rounded up some fun strawberry themed products from other small brands that we think you'll love.

You know we love an independent UK brand, and you may have seen us mention Megan Crosby before. The Strawberry bandana is such a fun way to play with hair styles and protect your head from the summer sun. Made from sustainable and vegan bamboo silk, tie as she has done here, or wear around your neck for a modern day Audrey Hepburn look!

It's been awhile since the internet famous Lirika Matoshi dress was all over everyone’s timelines, but we were so mersmerised by the dress that we missed the hat! With glitzy sequin strawberries on a light pink mesh, this is a fun summer accessory, fab for the beach! Made from upcycled leftover materials too!

Looking for a summer uniform? Look no further. This simple slip from cult fashion brand Realisation Par is a great, versatile piece for the current and upcoming seasons. With a super flattering midi length skirt, an elasticated chest area and adjustable straps, it’s super comfy to wear, taking you from daytime picnic to night time bar crawl with ease.

Partly to protect your phone, partly just to look cute! This iPhone case (and all the cases) from LA based, family-run Wildflower cases are on our ‘accessories wanted’ list. Each case is slightly different, but all have their trademark black bumper which helps protect the phone’s body and screen from whatever the summer throws at it!

We challenge you to find reusable bags cuter than the ones from Baggu. You can’t. They have such a wide range of fun colourful prints that it's hard to choose, but this summer, the strawberries have won us over. The Deadstock Collection uses up leftover materials from their other ranges to create fun, new designs, made from recycled ripstop nylon. We love that these can easily fold up and be stored away, keep them in your handbag or coat pocket and never need a plastic bag again!

Putting the ‘kitsch’ in kitchen is these strawberry salt & pepper shakers from &klevering, an independent brand from Amsterdam who specialise in colourful yet functional pieces for the home. We love these for a bit of al fresco dining this summer. They’re super cute and make a great gift too!

Our Strawberry Hoops are a summer favourite and one of our year round bestsellers! On 14k gold filled hoops, these are a cottagecore staple and a fun addition to any outfit.

If you thought our strawberry hoops were cute, we have a mini version too! These are on smaller 14k gold-filled hoops and are great for layering.

If you're not a hoop person, we have our Mini's in studs too! A great everyday earring, we love the marbled red acrylic and hand-inked details that are visible even on such a small stud! The red acrylic stands out against almost every hair colour too.

You guessed it, our necklace made the list too! Great if you don’t have your ears pierced. A fun statement piece that will easily elevate even a simple t-shirt and jeans. Again we love this layered with a few other chains to jump on the 2021 jewellery trends, but what we love is the unique design that will last you years.

Also available in gold or silver.

10. A Strawberry Smash cocktail

Pimp your Wimbledon-watching snack table with our new favourite summer cocktail. It's super easy to make and even easier to drink!

What you’ll need for 8 servings:

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 punnet fresh strawberries
  • 450ml cups gin
  • 700ml soda water
  • Ice
  • Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
  1. Set aside a handful of strawberries for garnish. With the rest, hull and slice them and put them in a pitcher along with the lime and sugar. Leave to macerate slightly for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Stir in the gin, tonic and top up with ice. Tip - Add a crack of black pepper when you add the gin for a hint of spice!
  3. Pour into your glass of choice and garnish each with a strawberry and a few mint leaves.

Tip - Try it with basil for a more savoury cocktail or swap out the gin for rum for a Strawberry Mojito!
