Stay Home Discoveries: Week 5

Most of the team are WFH, but when we're not working, we're trying to use our quarantine time as best we can. This week, we've been busy beading bags and treating ourselves to local food deliveries. If you've got a sweet tooth, we have a great Carrot Cake recipe and the perfect place to buy tea to go along side.

Fiona Apple's 'Fetch The Bolt Cutters' - The fifth album from singer-songwriter Fiona Apple has soundtracked our week. Listen on your daily walk or whilst doing the washing up and make the mundane much more enjoyable.

Worst Idea of All Time Podcast - If you’re a serial re-watcher then this podcast is probably for you. Hosted by two comedians that rewatch the same film every week for a year and chat about it.

What we're making...

Crochet - Now that we’ve got the knack of knitting, crochet is the natural next step. This 'Blanket How-To' is something to keep your hands busy whilst you get through your 375th episode of Friends.

Beaded Bag - One thousand beads sound like a lot, but this crafty vlogger makes it as easy as possible to make your own beaded tote. Watch her video for step-by-step instructions and treat yourself to a new customised accessory.

Paper Prawn - Artist Lisa Lloyd has created a series of home tutorials on paper crafting teaching us how to make a wonderful prawn! Using only household items, you could have a little fishy friend in no time!

What we're eating...

Carrot Cake - Even if you’re new to the baking game, this recipe is simple and scrumptious. Give yourself an hour and you can have a delicious cake. Seeing as its mostly carrot, we won’t judge if you have a slice for dinner.

Mr Bao- A favourite of South Londoners, Taiwanese restaurant Mr. Bao deliver their full menu across the city and are now taking requests for their frozen dumplings. The perfect weekday dinner.
