Three Events in March Celebrating Women

March is coming up and we are looking forward to a month filled with events celebrating Mother's Day, International Women's Day, the centenary and women in general. Here are some of the ones we are extra excited about:

Our Mothers' Daughters

Our favourites over at Bug Clothing is having a pop up shop at Emily's Bar in Stoke Newington together with Karina Banks London, Eesome Shop, and Kana London to celebrate the centenary of the vote, and in general just lovely local women doing great things. There will be new collections, exciting collaborations and female focused workshops.

Sheroes

Sheroes is a Social Exhibition by Lon-art, who is working to provide a platform for communities, artists and educators to collaborate, reflect and create.

With Shereos they want to give a voice to and turn our eyes towards silenced and overlooked heroines – sheroes – throughout herstory, and offer inspiring female role models for us all.

The exhibition will take place from 8 - 11 March 2018 and you can read more about it on their event page here

Women of the World

The Southbank Centre will be celebrating women and girls with the 8th edition of their annual festival Women of the World - providing a platform celebrating what has been achieved, and exploring all the ways we can change the world for the better. We have had a look at the events and we are particularly interested in Manwatching and Women, War and Peace-Building in Syria.
